About

Gizmo MacNaughton, the Boston Terrier dog who writes this blogHi there… wondering who Gizmo is and why he’s writing this blog?

Well… that’s me to the right. As of February 2011, I am just over 7 years old and I’ve had quite the life… moving across the country as a youngster… and then 2 more times in the next 2 years after that!

That was all kind of stressful for me… what can I say? I’m a sensitive guy!… but my humans have stayed put for the last 3.5 years now and I hope they continue to do so.

I have a very subtle brindle coat, but unless I’m in bright sunlight outdoors, I just look plain black and white. I have BIG ears and a typical BT smushy face, but not too smushed. I’m big for a BT… about 25 to 30 pounds. I’m kind of a husky guy, but I’m fit.

I love to run and play ball… and as long as the weather isn’t too hot, I enjoy hiking with my humans too.

I loved being an only child, but a few years ago, a black lab named Cheyenne wandered into our yard… and she never left. I love her, though… she’s my main playmate. I’ve always enjoyed rumbling with big dogs. I feel like one of them, although my human tells me I’m just a big dog in a little dog’s body.

I also have a little sister called Molly I don’t pay too much attention to… she’s just an annoying little shih tzu that belongs to my human’s mother. She likes to think she’s in charge, but neither Cheyenne or I agree.

Last year, my human decided 3 dogs weren’t enough… as if!… and she decided to add one of those cats to our household. Bad idea! I’m scared of that cat… she hisses at me and has taken my place on my human’s lap a lot of the time. I hoped she’d wander off at first, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

Overall, I’m a laid back kind of guy. I love intensely, sleep vigorously, snore a lot, blow stink bombs that my human dad says could be used as chemical warfare in the Middle East and I’m very sensitive to loud human voices and emotions.

Hope you enjoyed reading this little Gizmo biography.
