Endless Winter… Not a Boston Terrier’s Favorite Season

I am a Boston terrier and I like to play. I also enjoy being outdoors, when the weather is not too hot… or cold. And I absolutely adore taking long walks on the Boise Greenbelt along the river with my humans. But we haven’t been doing too much of that lately…
This year’s Boise winter has been the pits. First, we had a lot of snow in December, which I’m not too fond of. I mean, it’s COLD and WET! Yuck!
But then the last two months, it’s just been cold, cloudy or rainy most every day. We did have a spring-like weekend a couple of weeks ago, but the rest of the time, the sun has hardly shone.
My dad’s been working long hours and by the time he gets home, it’s too late to go for a walk, because it’s about to get dark. And then the weekends are yucky! I REFUSE to go outside when it’s raining. I really don’t like water or getting wet.
My humans have been going skiing… are they nuts? But as for me, I’m wishing for spring to arrive… and long balmy walks along the river, smelling the smells and “marking my territory” all along the way. My daddy calls it “GPS”… Gizmo Peeing System… and says it’s how I find my route. I think he’s on to something there… he’s pretty smart, my dad.
